About Tonga's Biomass Project in 'Eua: |
‘Eua Island has just over 5,000 inhabitants, with approximately 1,000 electricity customers and a typical daily demand profile as shown below. |
This profile is understood to vary little across the year and shows a peak in demand between 5:00 pm-11:00 pm at up to 275 kW with a minimum load of 100 kW. |
The average load is around 130 kW. The evening peak reflects a load profile driven largely by domestic demand. |
