Tonga Power Ltd launches online power bill payment in Tongatapu.

For convenience of consumers, Tonga Power has launched the online bill payment system. The launch of the online power bill payment service will significantly improve services to customers across Tongatapu. The new service is more convenient and improves customer relations by offering more payment choices to customers
Besides the existing cash and cheque payment facilities, the introduction of the new system means electricity consumers in Tongatapu can pay their power bills either with credit cards or through internet payments with Westpac Bank of Tonga or ANZ Bank.
 Tonga Power’s Acting CEO, Steven ‘Esau said “this is a new milestone for us in terms of facilitating power bill payments of customers whose relatives reside abroad”.
He added, “At a push of a button you can share your power accounts with your relatives overseas. For example, the adult sons and daughters can pay their parent’s power account from the comfort of their homes whether it is from New Zealand, Australia, USA or Japan. Tonga Power continues to drive for better service deliveries at all fronts. We are also studying the viability of Smart Metering. With this project, customers will be able to monitor and tailor their power usage from anywhere”.
To register to Tonga Power’s online self-service customers are required to provide their identification, customer number and proof of identity. To know more about the online bill payment, power consumers have been advised by Tonga Power to email or call 21400/28311 for further details.
